Week 1 (1/1-1/7) Into It. Over It.
For the very first week I will be listening to the album 52 Weeks by Into It. Over It. I think this is a great way to start my musical journey. This album was recorded over an entire year, with one song written and recorded each week. How fitting for my 52 New Bands project.

Into It. Over It. was formed by Evan Thomas Weiss, but also has Nick Wakim on the drums (when used). They have been a band since 2007, and hail from Chicago, IL. 52 Weeks is the first release from IIOI. Evan says, “From 09/27/2007 to 09/27/2008 I wrote, recorded and released one new song every week for an entire year… 52 songs.” The album was remastered and released in 2009 on No Sleep Records. Since then IIOI has released a split LP with the band KOJI and several 7-inches which have since been released as the Twelve Towns LP. 2011 also saw the release of the band’s first proper album, entitled Proper.
Evan has been in several other bands and side projects (The Progress, Damiera, Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start, Stay Ahead of the Weather).
